MySpace Music has been busy previewing a number of high-profile album releases, particularly those from the Killers and Kanye West. Both artists are releasing albums on Monday, ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday in the United States. That quickly leads into Black Friday, a critical and closely-watched sales start to the Christmas holiday shopping season.
The on-demand, streaming previews started several days before in-store. The action features Day & Age from the Killers, and 808s & Heartbreak from Kanye. Both albums are now available through the iTunes Store and other digital outlets, including AmazonMP3.
The exclusives could offer a nice pre-release pop. Day & Age, the third studio album from the group, follows the double-platinum Sam's Town, released in October of 2006. Kanye is also preparing for multi-platinum success, boosted partly by the success of the single, "Love Lock Down." Just recently, MySpace Music premiered the latest Guns N' Roses album, Chinese Democracy, ahead of a weekend release.
