Pandora was popping the champagne corks after reaching a somewhat-palatable royalty resolution earlier this year. But the bigger victory is happening on the streets, as more music fans start to gravitate towards the concept. According to details shared Wednesday by Pandora Media, registered users doubled to 40 million this year, and the property now delivers streams to more than 3 million users daily.
Of that, one third are coming to Pandora from mobile channels, mostly the iPhone. And, as one would expect, iPhone-specific growth has been explosive. Over the past twelve months, iPhone registered users have jumped five-fold to ten million, according to the company. That parallels the trajectory of the iPhone and mobile apps in general, and Pandora is now planning to unveil dashboard-integrated features in January.
