Steroids are not just for athletes anymore – at least according to recent allegations bubbling out of New York.
The action is happening in Albany, the location for an artist-specific steroid investigation, according to a recent Times Union of Albany report. The report pointed to steroid usage by Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, Timbaland and Wyclef Jean, as well as Tyler Perry.
Albany District Attorney David Soares declined to discuss the involvement of the artists, though authorities are reportedly focused on pharmacists, doctors, and clinics issuing the growth enhancers. The artists themselves are most likely acting within the law, if the allegations prove correct. Regardless, artists like 50 Cent – who banks on a street-hardened image – could take a hit from the investigation.
