The tie-up puts UMG songs in games like Music Pets, Super Dance and Loudcrowd.


  • The Harry Fox Agency (HFA) has structured a licensing deal with tabs site Ultimate Guitar.  The mechanical-focused arrangement traverses tabs and lyrics, including print and download capabilities.


  • 7digital will power music downloads for Imerge, a maker of high-end, home media server systems.


  • IODA has just joined forces with marketing and publicity firm Audible Treats.  The companies will broaden their collective client services though the deal.


  • Apple is planning to unveil its updated, iPhone OS 4.0 on Thursday.


  • US-based Android smartphone marketshare doubled over the past three months, to 9 percent according to comScore.  The iPhone stayed steady at 25.4 percent, while Blackberry led with 42.1 percent.


  • Wall Street stayed mostly steady – and below 11,000 – on Tuesday, though expectations of a broader recovery remain.  Music-related movements were mostly uneventful, though Warner Music Group (WMG; up 3.8 percent to $7.37) and Hot Topic (HOTT; up 3.8 percent to $7.10) posted mild gains.
