Exclusive: Interscope Revenues Now 70% Digital

This is one of those accomplishments that comes with an asterisk, though UMG division Interscope Geffen A&M now earns 70 percent of its revenues from digital formats.

The information comes from IGA executive vice president Ted Mico, who spoke exclusively with Digital Music News about the threshold.

So why the asterisk?  As physical product continues to tank, digital percentages naturally increase.  Still, Mico claims that IGA is still selling CDs, though of course, not like the old days.  Meanwhile, IGA-signed Eminem could become the first to hit one million digital album sales for a release, potentially by the end of the year according to Mico’s math.
