Gene Simmons is now striking back against the loose collective known as ‘Anonymous,’ the group responsible for downing his sites in response to some strong anti-piracy statements.
Actually, genesimmons.com is still down (as of Sunday evening), though some choice threats were recently published (thanks Slyck.com).
“Some of you may have heard a few popcorn farts re: our sites being threatened by hackers.
Our legal team and the FBI have been on the case and we have
found a few, shall we say “adventurous” young people, who feel they are above the law.
And, as stated in my MIPCOM speech, we will sue their pants off.
First, they will be punished.
Second, they might find their little butts in jail, right next to someone who’s been there for years and is looking for a new girl friend.
We will soon be printing their names and pictures.
We will find you.
You cannot hide.
Stay tuned”
And, for those just jumping into this one, Simmons attracted the denial-of-service attacks by uttering these statements (among others):
“Be litigious. Sue everybody. Take their homes, their cars. Don’t let anybody cross that line”
I’m SURE the FBI is on the case. After all, what could possibly be more important than Gene Simmons’ website? If it walks like a dinosaur…
I’m Sure the FBI will make an example of the first person they catch and when that happens, let’s see how many ‘annonymous’ will continue their cowardly ways hiding behind their pc, i can’t wait 🙂 …which coward is going to be famous.
You absolutely have no idea what “ananymous” are and what they can do, you also have no idea that it’s easier to go to the Sun and come back unburnt than to catch the people causing the DoS attacks.
Let me put it to you this way, in order to catch who made the DoS attack, you have to collect all the IPs that have visited his website at that time (which could include yours), and which will ultimately lead to what? Accuse these people of “visiting the website”?

See the difference between Gene and I is, he gets the FBI and threatens to have them sued and sent to prison, where they can be used like dolls by the gang bangers. I instead would just personally go to their houses, break their skateboards, cram their play stations down their throats and use their sister like Ashley Blue would in a Girlvert feature. I really hate these “Seth Bailey” type internet cowards, I hope Gene means what he says, Don’t disappoint me God of Thunder.
