Guess the revolution WILL be televised, after all.
Sensing another demographic opportunity, MTV Networks is now preparing to air ‘True Life: I’m Occupying Wall Street,’ premiering Saturday, November 6th. The show will follow three camped-out protesters in downtown Manhattan, and actually offers an interesting glimpse into protest realities.
But wait, there’s more: Deadline Hollywood reports that MTV was actually mining Occupy Wall Street for its latest Real World auditions. Sounds hilarious and superficial at the same time, though also a potential popularity-booster for the protest effort. And, that means something for artists – with celebs like Kanye West, Bun B, and Talib Kweli already paying visits to Occupy encampments.
