Nokia Music has re-branded itself as Nokia MixRadio.
An update for Nokia phones is now available. The old music note tile is replaced with a bright pink smiley face / upside down pair of headphones.
The app has added a “play me” feature that creates a custom radio station based on information it gathers about users’ listening habits. Like Pandora there are thumbs up and thumbs down buttons that alter the station. Six skips per hour are allowed on the free plan. The “play me” station can be downloaded for free offline listening, just like any other radio station on the app. All radio stations continue to be ad-free.
Nokia Music’s sidebar navigation has been replaced by a tile screen that provides easier access to features such as “create a mix” and “offline mixes”.
In other news, Nokia’s investors just approved the sale of its mobile phone division to Microsoft.
