Here’s a feature that will ideally help SoundCloud creators reach a wider audience.
SoundCloud has added an “explore” section to the web and the Android app.
The feature shows which tracks are trending, something that has long been missing. “Trending music” and “trending audio” are separated. The latter lists comedy, podcasts, and other non-music tracks. Tracks can also be browsed by genre.
Who cares?
I don’t know any professional indie artists using soundcloud. All pro indie artists use their official websites to upload and promote their music.
There are plenty of “big” indie artists using SoundCloud, you must not be looking very hard.
