FYF Fest Lineup Announced: The Blood Brothers, The Strokes, Interpol, Grimes…

This year’s FYF Fest lineup has been released. The festival gets better every year and has become a destination festival for those on the west coast.

FYF will go down on August 23rd and 24th at a new venue, the LA Sports Arena and Exposition Park.

Phoenix and The Strokes are headlining. Interpol and Grimes are back. The Blood Brothers are reuniting!!!!

Also, Julian Casablancas performs solo and with The Strokes, Dan Snaith performs as Caribou and Daphni, The Bronx and Mariachi El Bronx play. I’m noticing a trend…

I’d say the over saturation of Strokes-related acts taints the entire thing. (Do we really need 2 solo sets from Strokes members in addition to the band?)

  1. check please

when the promoter cant get an interesting headliner, there must be a law that says Phoenix will be plan B.

i went to the first two FYF soirees. the line-ups were ahead of the curve and dangerous. the crowds were light and dedicated to the music. since FYF bowed out to Goldenvoice, i never went back again and the line-ups are just plain lame. this years line up seals the deal. it’ll never be the same again i’m afraid. this is basically melded into a mini-Coachella. no thanks.

Is it me or does every song by Phoenix sound like every other song by Phoenix.
