Rock band Guided by Voices and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery have teamed up to release beer. The lager is appropriately named BEER Thousand, a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the GBV album Bee Thousand.
The beer is brewed with 10 grains and 10 hop varieties. It is 10% alcohol by volume.
BEER Thousand will make a one night debut in Madison, Wisconsin. In early fall, the beer will be distributed in 30 states by Dogfish. It will be released with a 10 inch record featuring 10 live songs recorded during the band’s first tour.
Well done – wonder if it’s as good as Iron Maiden’s Trooper beer?
