London’s Camden Crawl music festival has gone into voluntary liquidation. The festival’s founder told Music Week that they were going through financial difficulty and had no other option.
This year was the festival’s 19th anniversary. Camden Crawl did not take place in London last year, but returned this year for its final instalment.
Multiple labels and acts took to Twitter, saying the festival booked artists for the 2014 festival without paying them:
Cause and effect of Camden Crawl not paying us is that we’re broke enough now to finally have to give up our rehearsal space
