Merlin Reduces Administration Fees…

Does it feel like half your money goes towards fees? Practically every monetary transaction has a fee attached, and it all adds up over time. If you do business with indie global rights agency Merlin, there’s a bit of good news in this area.

Merlin has announced a drop in administration fees for members, dropping the fee from 3 percent to 2.5 percent. The fee for members who are not part of a local independent trade group drops from 3.9 percent to 3.25 percent.

Administration fees related to settlements and recoveries from infringing services remain the same.

Merlin’s CEO Charles Caldas says:

“It is very satisfying to be able to announce another reduction in these fees after the 50% reduction we made in 2013, and we trust that this further underlines our commitment to continuing to deliver the maximum possible value to our members via our activities.”
