The latest music industry hirings and firings…

Music Week reports that Jack Melhuish is now Marketing Director of Polydor, which is owned by Universal Music Group. Melhuish was previously Marketing Director of Atlantic Records UK. He was with Atlantic for over 10 years.

Pandora has named Jason Feinberg Head of Artist Marketing, a new position. Feinberg was Head of Digital Marketing and Strategy at Epitaph/ANTI- Records.

SpinMedia has fired 19 staff members, mostly in the “video, photo, and sales departments.” SpinMedia has also cancelled the print edition of Vibe, and some of the firings were related to this. These decisions were made by new CEO Stephen Blackwell.

What is Artistic Marketing? …new position for a friend?

Pandora should convert to $5B discovery driven music store.

SIMPLE if we excuse MOOCHES like Shazam or Google lyrics from the music house!

Sorry, if we give them few hundred millions of dollars for being just automated cashiers of PANDORA!
