Michael Martin of ASCAP

ASCAP has promoted Michael Martin to Vice President of the Nashville Membership office. Martin was previously the co-lead of the creative staff. Prior to that, Martin was at Extreme Writers Group.

Downtown Music Publishing Group is expanding in the UK through an acquisition of Eagle-i Music. Roberto Neri, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Eagle-i, is now Managing Director of Downtown UK.

The results of A2IM‘s Board of Directors election have been announced. These positions were voted on by A2IM label members.

  • Newly elected board members include Amy Dietz (EVP & General Manager, INgrooves), Darius Van Arman (Co-Founder & Co-Owner, Secretly Group), Martin Mills (Founder & Chairman, Beggars Group).
  • Newly appointed members of the President’s Advisory Committee include Chris Frymire (Vice President, Red House Records), Nate Nelson (Co-owner, Innovative Leisure), Taylor Childress (Vice President, Curb Records).
  • The new A2IM lead WIN council representative is Louis Posen (Owner, Hopeless Records).

Lionsgate hired Raha Johartchi as Executive Director of Music Business Affairs. Johartchi was previously Associate Director of Licensing & Contract at Universal Music Enterprises.

Culture Factory recently hired Ed Franke as General Manager. Franke was previously Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Tuff City Records. Prior to that, Franke was at SONY/RED, Universal, and Warner Music Group.
