The 100 Best Selling Albums of All Time…

Once upon a time, there was a tie for first-place.  But that was before the King of Pop reclaimed the throne: just this week, sales of Michael Jackson’s Thriller crossed the 30 million-mark in the US, edging out longtime sales rival, The Eagles.   That has shifted the deck somewhat, with other mega-sellers like Metallica, Shania Twain, Elton John, Garth Brooks, Madonna, Billy Joel, Journey, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Backstreet Boys jockeying for prime spots in the ranking.

And with that, here are the 100 top-selling albums in history, as of December, 2015, according to certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)…
