A list of executive shuffles across the music business…

Universal Music Group (UMG) elevates Olivier Nusse to CEO, Universal Music France.  Nusse is currently managing director of Mercury Music Group and Universal Classic & Jazz France, and has worked at Universal Music Group, France for over 20 years.

Spotify hires Keith Jopling as global head, strategic intelligence.  Jopling will be based in Spotify’s London office.

Elsewhere…

The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) hires Tim Cooper as head of content protection.  Cooper’s role with BPI will begin on April 20th, and he will report to BPI general counsel Kiaron Whitehead as well as group CEO Geoff Taylor.

VPL, PPL’s sister company, hires Geoff Kempin as chairman.  Kempin has been a director of VPL since 1983 and continues to be executive director at Eagle Rock Entertainment where he has worked for 19 years.

Warner Bros. Records is now saying goodbye to SVP Luke Burland after a 15-year tenure.  During her time at Warner Bros. Records, Burland helped to build an array of artists careers, including the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jason Derulo.
