This is a sad, sad story that started back in the 80s, and keeps getting more tragic. According to details disclosed by local police in Saugerties, New York, Alison Carey was busted Friday on prostitution charges following an undercover sting operation. Alison, who contracted HIV in the late 80s and continued to spiral downward, appeared to be operating out of a local motel, according to authorities.
Alison Carey, 55, turns out to be the estranged sister of Mariah Carey, with the superstar severing communications at some point. Carey herself has spoken little about the relationship in public, though the AID diagnosis, coupled with issues of mental illness, seem to have created the rift.
Cops busted Alison Carey during the sting, with an undercover cop posing as a ‘John,’ code for a male customer. Accordingly, Saugerties police are urging any actual Johns having sex with Alison to get themselves examined.
Sadly, the elder Carey immediately pointed police to her relationship with Mariah, which was quickly confirmed. Digging deeper, Alison appeared to reference Mariah’s music in her online ad, specifically the 1995 hit, “Fantasy.” Here’s the desperate post, which doubles as a dark plea for help from an estranged singer.
“Im a pretty lady looking for guys who are looking to have some fun and get into a world of pleasure that other woman just cant provide two you,woman with the ability to make the earth move for you and to get you to see stars, oh yea with me its,”ITS SUCH A SWEET,SWEET FANTASY BABY, WHEN I CLOSE MY EYES I COME AND TAKE YOU ON AND ON.”
Alison Carey is being held at Ulster County Jail, and is awaiting a hearing on Tuesday, according to authorities.
Meanwhile, it appears that Mariah will not be assisting her sister. The singer has not offered any comment, but did post this to her Instagram account.
