Wale Kicks Off BTS Collaboration with Rap Monster and Major US Tour (See Dates)

Right after finally meeting with BTS’ Rap Monster for a posible collaboration, Wale announces The Shine tour.

In a freestyle to the beat from Nas’ “Nas Is Like,” rapper Wale expressed his love for Kpop and for Korean boy band, BTS, back in December. He rapped,

“Foreign features from South Korea / BTS be the s…, we about to see it / I am not North or South / I am just DMV.”

Following his shoutout to BTS, Wale answered a fan’s question on Twitter. When asked about a possible collaboration with BTS, he wrote,

 “I’ll be wit the bros in a few weeks on their side of the ? the ??x the ARMY https://twitter.com/nutquicc/status/831943253331173378 …”

Then, after announcing on Instagram that he arrived at South Korea, he posted a picture with BTS’ Rap Monster. Although he all-but-confirmed the possible collab, the tweet shows Wale chatting with Rap Monster in a dressing room.

 

Right after meeting up with BTS’ Rap Monster for a possible collab, Wale announced The Shine US Tour. The 15-date tour will kick off at Atlanta on May 5. Wale will journey across major cities, including Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago before wrapping things up at Boston on the 27th. The Shine US Tour will help promote his upcoming fifth album, SHINE.
