Pregnant Ciara Involved In Car Accident (Latest)

Updated: A pregnant Ciara has been involved in car accident but appears to be fine.  Husband Russell Wilson offered the latest updates in a tweet, while LAPD also updated the situation.

Pregnant r&b singer Ciara was just involved in a car accident in Los Angeles on Friday, but now appears fine.  The accident involved Ciara’s white Mercedes G-Class SUV, which was clipped by a Volvo on a quick left turn.  That appears to have created considerable body damage, but not bodily damage.

That is obviously not the best turn of events for a pregnant woman, or anyone for that matter.  Shortly after the crash, we’ve learned that Ciara was viewed inspecting the wreckage.  So, essentially uninjured.

The singer is in the third trimester of her pregnancy.

According to the LAPD, police and fire were dispatched.  In many cases, private parties can exchange information on less serious crashes, without police involvement.  This one appears borderline, with the Volvo smacking Ciara’s ride on the passenger side.

Russell Wilson, Ciara’s husband and father of the child, tweeted out the news.

Future, Jr.

Ciara’s first child, Future, Jr., did not appear to be in the vehicle at the time of the accident.  But, he was very much part of a semi-nude, pregnant photo shoot involving the r&b singer, Russell, and Future, Jr.  In the photo, Wilson was clutching his wife’s belly from behind.  Of course, for maximum drama-drawing potential.

As for her relationship with Future, Ciara cited a variety for reasons for the collapse.  “If someone’s not supporting you and your vision and your dreams — whether it’s your relationship partner, your friend, whomever — then you’ve got to keep it moving,” she said.

“If people aren’t lifting you up, even if you’re the strongest person in the world, eventually it does chip away at you.”

The singer first announced her engagement to Wilson in March of last year, with a marriage and pregnancy quickly ensuing.  The couple married in Seychelles.
