What is Louder.me?
Digital Music News is pumped up to be partnering with Louder.me, a media startup with a fresh perspective on music discovery and willingness to help independent artists. Here’s what Louder.me is all about and how you can get involved at the earliest stage of the project. For example, if you’re using an iPhone, there’s a special beta invitation for you.
Music is written to be heard. The artists want their music to win over other people’s hearts. In the 21st century, there are more ways and possibilities to get your creative musings out there than ever before. It’s become easy to record music in the comfort of one’s home, dozens of websites allow for easily uploading it online for other people to download, buy or stream it. However, these changes in the music industry have become as much as curse, as a blessing.
How do you stay afloat in a sea of music? How do you find a path to your audience in an endless jungle of tunes? More importantly, how does your audience find you without getting lost in the crowd? Being artists ourselves, we decided to help young and unsigned artists score the boost they need. Our goal was to build a bridge for artists and their audiences so they can find each other without having to wander in the labyrinths of the music industry.
Louder.me App – the beta-testing for iOS
First and foremost, our project is a new way to discover music. It will allow the artists to easily put their music online, while the new Louder.me app gives the audience easy access to new artists for them to fall in love with. Artists fill out their profile, choose the most representative snippets of their tracks; users register, listen to them and move their favorite artists up the chart by voting for this or another track.
Those complicated rules of show business don’t exist in the world of Louder.me . Our goal was to create a community where only talent matters. We set this goal, and here it is, our precious creation — the Louder.me app, ready to be tested.
Before we launch the app this fall, we would like to invite DIY-artists, indie musicians, and proactive music fans to join the beta-testing, at this point, only on iOS.
The research we have done was conducted thoroughly, but we want to make sure we didn’t miss a thing, since our app is supposed to truly help artists boost their careers. We want to make sure that we took into account every need of the minds thirsty to discover new music and support the independent scene. Which is why, we invite everyone to help us make the Louder.me app better and more effective by joining the beta-testing.
By joining the beta-testing, you’ll be able to see what the app looks like and how it works.
To warm up, you can listen to songs in the Arcade tab and «heart» them, if you like them. In the Tournament tab, each time two songs will compete with each other, and you can be the judge. After giving your votes, you will see how the song is doing in the overall rating. In your profile, you’ll be able to keep track of battles you’ve judged, and bands and users you’re following.
You have a unique chance to have a say in the creation of a music app for a new generation. Become a part of this new era in the music industry. While the big corporations and major labels aren’t really likely to change and will eventually collapse, join this one-of-a-kind movement that will revolutionize the world of independent music.
