Lil Peep effectively killed himself with an extremely lethal drug cocktail, according to preliminary details surfacing.

Updated, Saturday AM (Nov 18th): Lil Peep’s brother now suspects that a foreign substance was mixed into this combination.  Given the amount of drugs in the cocktail, a foreign substance may have interacted with the other substances and provoked the death.  ““[The family] have heard there was some sort of substance he did not expect to be involved in the substance he was taking,” Oskar Ahr relayed on Friday. “He thought he could take what he did.  But he had been given something and he didn’t realize what it was.”

Emo trap artist Lil Peep effectively committed suicide with a massive drug overdose, according to details emerging Friday.  The self-administered ‘suicide cocktail’ may have included up to 6 Xanax pills, combined with other substances including cocaine, ecstasy, psilocybin mushrooms, and even concentrated cannabis.

Those substances may have been taken within a very short period time, according to information obtained from preliminary toxicology tests.  Dehydration may have also compounded the situation, with Lil Peep effectively ending his life with aggressive drug intake.

Sources to Digital Music News stressed that the results were preliminary.  But medics are clear that Lil Peep’s body was ‘just overwhelmed with toxic agents’.  A full autopsy may reveal the exact drugs taken, though sources warned that a full autopsy can take months to complete.

Accordingly, it’s unclear how the various drugs interacted with one another.  The high-powered marijuana is incapable of killing a person.  Similarly, it’s impossible to overdose on mushrooms.  But those drugs certainly didn’t help the situation, a source with knowledge of recreational drugs shared.

On Thursday, the Medical Examiner for Pima County, Arizona, confirmed that an autopsy was underway.

The official cause of death is likely to be ‘drug overdose’.  The Examiner offered the following brief statement:

On Wednesday, Lil Peep was found dead in his tour bus before a show in Tucson, Arizona.  

Chase Ortega, Ahr’s manager, first discovered the body.  “I’ve been expecting this call for a year. Mother fuck,” Ortega reacted, suggesting a pattern of extreme drug abuse and near-misses.

 Tuscon Police Department later confirmed the death, with Xanax cited as a culprit.

Ahr was obviously suffering from depression while taking heavy amounts of drugs to self-medicate. 

“Some days I wake up and I’m like, ‘Fuck, I wish I didn’t wake up’,” Ahr told Pitchfork in January.  “Some days I’ll be very down and out, but you won’t be able to tell, really, because I don’t express that side of myself on social media.”

In retrospect, the signs seem rather obvious, with his music routinely discussing death, drugs, and suicide.

On of Lil Peep’s final Instagram posts featured what appears to be two Xanax pills.  “? ? fucc it,” the caption reads.

Another, sent just days before his death, reads, ‘When I die You’ll love me’.
