A festival dedicated to helping young people break into the music industry is happening in London starting November 8th.

BBC Introducing Live is a festival supporting upcoming talent to showcase their abilities to major industry professionals.  That includes aspiring execs as well as creatives.

The festival takes place over three days starting November 8-10 at the London venue Tobacco Dock. A variety of events, interactive sessions, workshops, Q&As, and masterclasses will be available to attendees.

The BBC has assembled a collection of more than 250 speakers that cover a pretty good swath of the music industry.  Label managers, radio hosts, and songwriters will share some experiences and pro-tips related to the business.  More than 15,000 young creatives are expected to attend the festival that will include performances from artists like Deadmau5, Duke Dumont and Riton & Kah-Lo, among others.

The Independent Label Market will be hosting pop-ups for the duration of the show with indie outlets like White Peach and Erased Tapes.

BBC Music Introducing Live has enlisted the help of several charity partners to host more than 25 hours of programming at the event.

Help Musicians UK will be the lead charity partner and will focus on providing a schedule built around helping artists and the industry.  Artists, DJs, and experts from Featured Artists Coalition, Music Support, SheSaid.so, and Musicians’ Union will be speaking during the workshop events.

Musicians’ Union will also introduce all the actions it has undertaken with its Safespace and Fair Pay campaigns.

The Association of Independent Music (AIM) will also offer a step-by-step guide on how to become a creative entrepreneur in today’s digital age.

BBC presenters and tastemakers like Vic Galloway, Bethan Elfyn, and Abbie McCarthy will offer their expertise during workshop events.  Plenty of speaking sessions will also cover a wide range of topics such as revenues from live performances, TV syncs, radio plays, and more.

The educational component looks pretty in-depth: check out the various classes and workshops here.
