With the increasing focus on sexual assault occurring at music festivals, Bonnaroo has also produced a video discussing what consent means. Entitled “Consent Matters (at Bonnaroo AND Everywhere Else)” the video addresses the prevalence of sexual assault at music festivals.
Coachella recently addressed these concerns by outlining their anti-sexual harassment policy for attendees of this year’s event.
Last year at Coachella, a Teen Vogue reporter was groped 22 times within a 10-hour period. That was just one of several reports pointing to rampant groping and sexual assault, with Coachella organizers under increasing pressure to starting monitoring and enforcement bad behavior.
