Marshmello continues to ride high fresh off of his success on Fortnite.
Several weeks ago, Marshmello made waves in the video game industry.
The EDM producer held the largest in-game concert in history inside the Fortnite universe.
The game transported 10.7 million simultaneous online players to a large-scale virtual stage. They watched Marshmello perform a 10-minute set. Fortnite’s map limitation of 60 players saw thousands of individual matches attending the virtual concert.
The in-game stage came to life with tons of fireworks and visual effects, with Marshmello at the center.
Following the virtual concert, the EDM producer’s YouTube channel hit 40 million views in just 2 days. He sat at #31 on the YouTube Music global artists chart, up from #39 on the previous week’s charts. Marshmello currently sits at #14, down from #9 a week ago.
Now, the Fortnite ripple effect has continued. This time, in Las Vegas.
Scoring a multi-million Vegas residency.
According to a new report, DJ Marshmello has just landed a historic Las Vegas residency deal.
The EDM producer has signed for an exclusive two-year agreement at KAOS Dayclub and Nightclub at the Palms Casino Resort. The deal is valued at $60 million and comes after the resort completed its $690 million renovation.
KAOS, which has a 73,000-square-foot dayclub and a 29,000-square-foot nightclub, will open on April 4th. Travis Scott, Cardi B, Alicia Keys, J Balvin, Skrillex, and G-Eazy, among others, will perform on the opening weekend. Marshmello will take over on April 6th. Other KAOS residencies include Jauz, Slushii, and Southside.
Speaking about the residency, Moe Shalizi, founder and CEO of The Shalizi Group, which represents the EDM producer, explained,
“The Palms has always been one of the most iconic hotels, so it’s very exciting to announce that this will be our new home in Las Vegas.
“To be part of this legacy’s newest chapter is an honor.
“Not many other dayclubs and nightclubs in the world can compare to the amount of detail, quality, and craftsmanship that have went into KAOS.”
