Sony/ATV — David Ventura and Tim Major

Sony/ATV Music Publishing CEO Jon Platt announced that David Venture and Tim Major will head up the company’s UK operations. Ventura is promoted to President & Co-Managing Director. Major is promoted to Co-Managing Director as part of a new UK senior leadership team.

Creative Artists Agency (CAA) — Ferry Rais-Shaghagi

Ferry Rais-Shaghagi has joined CAA as an agent in the music touring department.  Rais Shaghagi previously worked at APA overseeing the agency’s electronic and dance department.

Sony Music Nashville — Bo Martinovich

Sony Music Nashville has appointed Bo Martinovich to the newly-created role of Director, Artist Development. He will work in conjunction with all departments to create, implement, and evaluate new artist development strategies.

PRS for Music — Andrea Martin

Andrea Martin has been appointed Chief Executive of PRS for Music. She will start the new position on June 17th, replacing Robert Ashcroft.

MTV — Brian Miller

MTV has hired Brian “B. Dot” Miller as its new lead music correspondent for MTV News.  Miller officially secured the role in April, and will help the network enhance its storytelling across all genres, with a focus on hip-hop.

SoundCloud — Josh Nicoll

Josh Nicoll has been named Head of Independent Label Services at SoundCloud. He will report to Global Head of Music, Artist Relations, and Label Services Lisa Ellis.  Nicoll will work to support existing relationships and expand SoundCloud’s connections in the music industry.

Merlin — Akira Nomoto

Akira Nomoto has been hired by Merlin’s Japan office to replace General Manager Haji Taniguchi following his departure from the company. Monoto takes the role of full-time general manager to help guide the company.

Universal Music Group — Brittney Ramsdell

Brittney Ramsdell has been promoted to Senior VP film and TV Synchronization at Republic Records, Def Jam Recordings, Island Records, and Verve Label Group. She will oversee a team that will have dedicated synch representatives at each of the four labels.

Atlantic Records — Paul Sinclair

Paul Sinclair has been promoted to GM and EVP of Atlantic Records. He has been with Atlantic since 2006, and most recently held the role of EVP Digital Strategy and Innovation. He will continue to be based out of New York.

Paradigm Talent Agency — Chappel McCollister

Paradigm Talent Agency has hired Chappel McCollister as SVP, Strategic Partnerships. McCollister will be based in the agency’s Nashville office and will represent Paradigm’s music clients in the city.

Kobalt — Amanda Samii

Kobalt has promoted publisher Amanda Samii to VP of Creative. She was instrumental in signing Marshmello to Kobalt Music Publishing last year. She also worked to sign Finneas O’Connell.

10K Projects — Brittney King Brock

10K Projects has appointed Brittney King Brock to the newly created position of President of Operations and General Manager of the label.  She will oversee all label operations, including leading and growing the label’s staff and managing relationships with artist teams and distribution partners.
