Celebrating their 15th anniversary, music website platform Bandzoogle has added a new crowdfunding template to its commission-free sales tools.

The following article comes from Bandzoogle, a proud partner of DMN.

The template automatically populates a page with Bandzoogle’s built-in features to help musicians easily launch a crowdfunding campaign.

With Bandzoogle’s crowdfunding template, musicians can take album pre-orders, bundle digital music with CDs or vinyl, and create custom merch bundles and experiences. Artists can also have an intro video, and keep their fans updated with the built-in mailing list and blog tools.

Pledges through Bandzoogle are commission-free, and most importantly, the website platform doesn’t touch the financial transaction. Funds from all pledges go directly into the artist’s account, without delay. For Bandzoogle’s Pro plan users, pre-order sales are also reported to SoundScan on the day the music is released.

“We want to make it easier for musicians to put our built-in tools into context to help with crowdfunding their projects,” said Stacey Bedford, Bandzoogle’s CEO. “We feel it’s important that artists can use a crowdfunding tool that doesn’t take any commission from sales, and that doesn’t touch the financial transaction. This way artists can be assured that the money their fans pledge to their campaign is reaching them directly, and immediately.”

Bandzoogle members have already sold over $36M in music, merch and tickets using the platform’s commission-free sales tools. In the coming months Bandzoogle is planning to add additional features and resources to help musicians with crowdfunding their projects.
