Oak View Group has signed a long-term partnership with Ticketmaster for ticketing at six upcoming venues.
The six new arenas will feature a ticketing concierge box owned by Ticketmaster as part of the partnership. The system will allow ticketing transactions, account support, refunds, and will call. Contactless payment, mobile ordering, and in-venue purchases through the Ticketmaster app will also provide both companies with data on event purchasing behavior.
Ticketmaster will direct the ticketing systems at the following six venues, opening between 2021-2023.
- New York’s UBS Arena
- Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena
- Austin’s Moody Center
- Palm Desert, California’s Coachella Valley Arena
- Savannah, Georgia’s Savannah Arena
- Manchester, England’s Co-Op Live Arena
Ticketmaster says it will help Oak View Group deliver premium fan experiences to both sports fanatics and music lovers. Oak View Group was founded in 2015 by former AEG CEO Tim Leiweke and former Live Nation Entertainment chairman Irving Azoff. OVG operates and books arenas, theaters, convention centers, and amphitheaters across the globe.
“Ticketmaster is the best ticketing system in the world, and we’re pleased to offer their industry-leading technology across all of our world-class venues,” says Tim Leiweke, CEO of Oak View Group. “We know what a strong partner Ticketmaster is when it comes to bringing that premium ticketing experience to fans, and we look forward to partnering with them to bring the biggest artists and sporting events as we return to live.”
“We couldn’t be more pleased to partner with OVG at UBS Arena and continue to support our long-time partners The Islanders as they return to Long Island and welcome fans to a beautiful, custom-built facility,” says Marla Ostross, Ticketmaster’s North American Managing Director. “And, we are very much looking forward to seeing the puck drop at the first home game for the Seattle Kraken as they take to the ice in the world’s most sustainable arena.”
OVG and Ticketmaster will broaden their partnership further across a number of music-forward facilities, too.
These include the Coachella Valley Arena, which is also home to a future AHL Palm Springs team. The Moody Center, Austin’s multi-purpose arena specially designed for headline entertainment, and Savannah Arena, a music, sports, and entertainment destination that will be home to a future ECHL hockey team. Ticketmaster is also supporting OVG’s international growth with digital ticketing technology at Co-Op Live in Manchester, England.
