Sony Music Publishing Partners with NEON16 & Tommy Mottola for 22 Publishing Launch

Sony Music Publishing Latin is partnering with NEON16 and music exec Tommy Mottola to support 22 Publishing.

SMP will work closely alongside NEON16 to create key opportunities for 22 Publishing’s growing roster of hitmaking songwriters, artists, and producers. “Our goal is to create a platform for producers and songwriters to build their brand and their business to go beyond the music,” says NEON16 Co-Founder Lex Borrero. “22 Publishing will go beyond servicing their music and catalog, providing our writers with an opportunity to develop their limitless potential.”

22 Publishing’s team of songwriters and producers have helped shape some of the most successful music today. Their work includes Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti, Selena Gomez’s Revelacion, Kali Uchis‘ hit “Telepatia,” and Shakira’s new hit, “Te Felicito.” Several of the company’s songwriters also contributed to hit songs featured in The Spongebob Movie: Sponge On The Run soundtrack.

NEON16 was founded by music industry veteran Lex Borrero and iconic producer Tainy. The talent incubator is one of the leading media and entertainment companies in the industry and has partnered with companies like Nickelodeon and Paramount. NEON16 also has a live division that has hosted several experiential events, including “Roc Da Court” celebrity basketball game, an eSports celebrity tournament, and the NEON Cup – a celebrity soccer game.
