Skechers execs escort Kanye out of a Los Angeles corporate office after he “showed up unannounced and uninvited.”

Footwear company Skechers says its executives escorted Kanye West, now known as Ye, out of an LA corporate office after the rapper and designer showed up unannounced. The company says it “has no intention of working with West.”

“We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate antisemitism or any other form of hate speech,” says Skechers.

Skechers’ statement comes immediately following sportswear company Adidas ending its partnership with Ye following a series of antisemitic comments from the rapper. Apparel company Gap also ended its collaboration with West last month and is taking immediate steps to remove Yeezy Gap products from its stores.

“The company has taken the decision to terminate the partnership with Ye immediately, end production of Yeezy branded products, and stop all payments to Ye and his companies,” Adidas said in their press statement. “Adidas will stop the Adidas Yeezy business with immediate effect.”

Ye has worked with Adidas since 2013 on a highly profitable line of sneakers and other apparel. Adidas has earned an estimated 10% of its sales on these products alone, which the rapper incorrectly assumed would make him invincible regarding their business. Kanye claimed on a now-deleted episode of the Drink Champs podcast that Adidas would not drop him for his antisemitic remarks.

Notably, Forbes calculates that without Ye’s Adidas deal, worth an estimated $1.5 billion based on annual earnings, the rapper is worth around $400 million. The remainder of his net worth comes primarily from real estate, his music catalog, and a 5% stake in Kim Kardashian’s clothing line, Skims — which reports that Kanye has yet to be involved with since his initial investment in 2019.

Since 2020, Kanye has reached out to Forbes to correct its reporting on his wealth, claiming inaccuracy. In 2022, Ye sent a document to Forbes claiming his Adidas partnership alone to be worth $4.3 billion.
