Warner Chappell Production Music expands to Brazil as Renato Moraes joins to launch the new operation.
Warner Chappell Production Music (WCPM) has announced its expansion into Brazil with a new team based in São Paulo, headed by Renato Moraes. The move significantly adds to the company’s international presence as the Brazil team focuses on building a local repertoire.
Under Moraes’ leadership, the team will work to expand WCPM’s footprint by servicing the region’s film, television, radio, and advertising clients with its award-winning catalog of more than 190,000 tracks and sound design. The São Paulo team will also provide custom music services as they look to broaden creative partnerships.
“I’ve seen production in Brazil grow tremendously since I started out in this business, and I know this is just the beginning,” says Moraes, who arrives with two decades of industry experience–most recently at Music Branding Brazil, where he served as Head of Recordings and Publishing. “I’m grateful to the Warner Chappell team for trusting me to lead the charge with production music as we head into this next chapter.”
Moraes will report to Sinéad Hartmann, Vice President, Licensing & Music Creative, and work closely with Warner Chappell Music Brazil’s sync team, led by Flávia Cesar, Director of Strategic, Commercial, Film, Sync, and Licensing.
“Renato is arriving at such an important time, and his expertise will greatly complement Warner Chappell’s existing sync efforts in Brazil,” says Cesar. “We are excited to expand our presence even more and tap into the thriving local production music market.”
“We are collectively excited to be in a position to cater to this vast pool of clients in one of the most musically rich and vibrant countries in the world,” adds Hartmann. “Renato has the perfect skill set to see our Brazilian business bloom to the fullest extent possible.”
A worldwide leader within the production and custom music industry for over 35 years, Warner Chappell Production Music, is owned by legendary music publisher Warner Chappell Music and is part of the Warner Music Group family. WCPM releases over 500 new albums across more than 135 catalogs each year bi-weekly.
In total, WCPM represents over 190,000 unique tracks spanning numerous popular genres in addition to classical and orchestral, modern underscore, jazz, trailer, sound design, world, and archival music. The company has composed works for countless TV shows, films, trailers, and commercials.
