Jack Antonoff has signed an exclusive global publishing agreement with Universal Music Publishing Group after jumping from Sony. Here’s the latest.
Through the new deal, Antonoff reunites with his long-time publishing A&R Jennifer Knoepfle (EVP, Co-Head of A&R) after a decade of working together. Jack Antonoff is an eight-time Grammy winner and a proven hitmaker, collaborating with stars like Taylor Swift, The 1975, Lana Del Rey, Diana Ross, Lorde, St. Vincent, Florence + The Machine, and Kevin Abstract.
Antonoff and Taylor Swift recently celebrated back-to-back #1 pop records “Karma” and “Cruel Summer.” Antonoff is also the lead singer and songwriter of the band Bleachers, whose hits include “I Wanna Get Better,” “Rollercoaster,” and “Don’t Take the Money.”
“Jack is honestly one of one. To continue being his publisher is an honor we don’t take for granted,” adds Jennifer Knoepfle, UMG EVP and Co-Head of A&R about the deal. “He’s even more creative and prolific than when I first met him over a decade ago—and that’s saying a lot! I look forward to this next chapter for him with UMPG by his side.”
Jack Antonoff took home the Producer of the Year Award from the Grammys in both 2022 and 2023. He recently picked up the Ivor Novello Award for ‘Best Song Musically and Lyrically’ earlier this year for his work on Florence + The Machine’s hit song, “King.”
Alongside the Universal Music Publishing Group deal, Antonoff has also announced an extensive partnership with Dirty Hit Records founder Jamie Oborne. Antonoff and Oborne will launch a new joint venture.
“Very proud to be working with Jamie and his entire team, we’ve known each other for some time now and our connection has deeply inspired me. Have loved everything he has been creating from afar and love the perspective he has on what I do,” adds Jack Antonoff on the deal. “Feeling wild excitement for everything in the works.”
