Timbaland reunites with Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado on the new single “Keep Going Up,” with more new music coming soon.

Award-winning producer, songwriter, and artist Timbaland drops his first single in over eight years, reuniting with Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado for “Keep Going Up.” The track is Timbaland’s artist debut under the partnership between his Mosley Music Group and Def Jam Recordings.

The trio first joined forces on the 2007 hit “Give It To Me,” which topped the Billboard 200 and generated nearly a billion streams. The song also featured in Timbaland’s 2007 album “Shock Value,” which charted in the Billboard 200’s Top 5.

The new track originates from Beatclub, the successful Timbaland-founded music creator platform, and its members, Last Trip to the Moon. A one-on-one session with the group’s production team members Brandon Stewart and Brandon Cordoba, who created the beat through the Beatclub platform, and the rest was history for Timbaland; he refers to the meeting as “the call that ignited the spark.” Shortly after, Timbaland added his signature production flare to the track and recruited the talents of Timberlake and Furtado as featured vocalists.

“Keep Going Up” debuts on the heels of ESPN’s announcement that Timbaland and Timberlake will curate music for select Monday Night Football games during the 2023-2024 season. For seven weeks this season, the curated music will run in Monday Night Football promotional spots, live telecasts, and pre-game shows. ESPN further amped the excitement for the arrival of “Keep Going Up” by teasing a snippet across its programming.

Timbaland posted a teaser video on social media leading up to the song’s release, which he captioned “WE BACK” and “Da king has returned!” That tease came a month after his Instagram post revealing he was working with Timberlake and Furtado again on his upcoming sixth studio album, due to release this fall.
