Did Jared Leto really climb the Empire State Building to promote Thirty Seconds to Mars’ 2024 global tour? It’s more likely than you think.

Jared Leto-helmed band Thirty Seconds to Mars has announced their massive global Seasons 2024 tour, with shows across North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. And to celebrate the announcement, Leto climbed the Empire State Building. Yes, you read that correctly.

Rated the number-one attraction in the US by TripAdvisor for the second consecutive year, the Empire State Building recently enjoyed a $165 million renovation of its iconic observatory. Leto says the landmark has fascinated him since he was a child.

“The building is a testament of all the things that can be done in the world if we put our minds to it, which is largely the inspiration behind our most recent album, It’s the End of the World But It’s a Beautiful Day,” says Leto. “As an avid climber, the Empire State Building and the tour announcement carry the sentiment that anything is possible if we try.”

Thirty Seconds to Mars, headed by brothers Jared and Shannon Leto, released their sixth studio album, It’s the End of the World But It’s a Beautiful Day, on September 15 via Concord Records. Its lead single, “Stuck,” debuted at No. 1 on the Alternative radio chart and made a Top 10 hit in Italy — the fastest chart climb of the band’s career.

North American tickets will be available, starting with a pre-sale on November 10, with additional pre-sales running throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale beginning November 17. The general on-sale for European shows begins on November 17, except for Galicia, Spain, which went on sale beginning November 8. Australia and New Zealand pre-sale begins November 13 ahead of the general on-sale beginning November 17.
