Marshmello and Kane Brown make radio history with ‘Miles On It,’ uniting country and pop in a song that’s topping both charts simultaneously.

In the wake of Beyonce’s big country splash, country goes pop once again — “Miles On It,” the new summer jam from Marshmello and Kane Brown, is making radio history as it hits No. 1 simultaneously on both the pop and country charts.

The duo are the first male artists, and the only other artists besides Queen Bey and Taylor Swift, to accomplish such a feat. Further, the track is the first collaboration in history to achieve the milestone. “Miles On It” is also charting globally across all streaming platforms.

Country singer/songwriter Kane Brown has consistently broken boundaries since the start of his career, becoming the first artist to top all five Billboard Country charts simultaneously. He’s also the first Black artist to headline Boston’s Fenway Park.

The new summer anthem, launched this week, is the latest collaboration from Brown and Marshmello following the success of their 2019 hit, “One Thing Right.” That track, which has received over 1.3 billion streams worldwide, marked Brown’s first Top 10 single at the Top 40 format.

Kane Brown is set to perform at the ACM Awards, where he has been twice nominated for Entertainer of the Year. He’s also continuing his 2024 In The Air headlining tour, which sees him visiting arenas nationwide, and five major stadium shows, including his return to Fenway Park.

Marshmello is returning to his roots with catchy dance music that brings people together. He’s been busy dipping his toe in other dance sounds, recently dropping his “Riddim” project and Mellodeath album with Svdden Death.

That follows the wrap of their Mellodeath Tour, which itself followed his first Latin album, Sugar Papi, released last year. The album earned him Best Crossover Artist of the Year at both the Latin Billboards and Latin AMAs, as well as numerous nominations.

Soon, Marshmello can be seen on his upcoming select Joytime Tour, which is tied to his new music era and label relaunch.
