HarbourView Equity Partners brings Hit-Boy to Roblox’s Beat Battle in a monthlong takeover for players to remix tracks and unlock exclusive rewards.

Multi-strategy investment firm HarbourView Equity Partners has announced a collaboration bringing three-time Grammy-winning producer and artist Hit-Boy to Beat Battle, a beat-making game developed by Overtune on Roblox. The game’s first artist collaboration, the monthlong “Season Takeover” allows players to remix 10 tracks from Hit-Boy’s album HITStory 2: Success is a Dirty Word, including individual drum, bass, synth, and vocal stems, as well as compete in live remix battles and unlock custom rewards. rewards.

HarbourView orchestrated and project-managed the collaboration as part of its exclusive partnership with Hit-Boy, announced in November 2025. HarbourView worked directly with Roblox, Overtune, and Hit-Boy’s team to orchestrate the collaboration, including the integration of his music, metadata, and merchandise. The activation creates a new way for fans to engage with Hit-Boy’s music while introducing his work to younger audiences through hands-on music creation. Players can earn select beat packs through gameplay or purchase music and merch within the game.

“Hit-Boy has helped shape the sound of contemporary music, and he continues to push what’s possible as an artist and entrepreneur,” said Sherrese Clarke, Founder and CEO of HarbourView Equity Partners. “This collaboration gives fans the opportunity to become part of the creative process while bringing his music to new audiences. It reflects how we work with creators to extend the reach of their intellectual property and build opportunities across music, entertainment, and technology.”

“Making beats opened up a whole new world for me, and with Beat Battle, the players are able to use my vocals to remix and build their own unique beats,” said Hit-Boy. “I am excited with this new chapter of my career, as it’s all about ownership, creative freedom, and bringing my music into spaces where fans can create.”

During the takeover, players enter timed Live Remix Battles built around rotating, 25-second Hit-Boy vocal stems. Participants create and present their remixes, vote on other players’ work, and earn Season Tickets to unlock rewards, including Hit-Boy beat packs, apparel, and custom-themed DJ decks.

The experience builds on Overtune’s “Jam Circle,” where players use drum, keys, bass, synth, FX, and piano-roll stations surrounding a central mixer to layer loops and create beats together. A Hit-Boy avatar welcomes players into the season, bringing his presence and sound directly into the game.

The featured vocals come from clean tracks on the album, and the integration operates within a closed ecosystem: players cannot export raw audio or isolated vocal stems from the Roblox environment.

Written, produced, and arranged by Hit-Boy, HITStory 2: Success is a Dirty Word marks his first album as an independent artist following the conclusion of his 18-year publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group. The 17-track project debuted with a limited rollout on June 13 before arriving on streaming services on August 14. A sequel to his 2012 debut mixtape, HITStory, the album features collaborators including Quavo, Dom Kennedy, Ty Dolla $ign, Ab-Soul, and James Fauntleroy. Continuing a prolific year of new music, Hit-Boy just released his latest album, The Chauncey Hollis Project II, on October 23.

The collaboration reflects HarbourView’s strategy of partnering with creators to build new opportunities around their intellectual property and provide a foundation for bringing more music from its catalog into gaming and other emerging media through relationships with individual developers.

Since its inception in 2021, HarbourView has amassed approximately $3.88 billion in regulatory assets under management and acquired more than 70 music catalogs, including works associated with Quincy Jones, Chaka Khan, Kelly Clarkson, T-Pain, Rodney “Darkchild” Jenkins, James Fauntleroy, George Benson, Luis Fonsi, Christine McVie, Pat Benatar, Neil Giraldo, Nelly, Wiz Khalifa, and Kane Brown.
