88rising is a pioneering artist collective and media platform representing the most cutting edge artists from Asia and bridging Eastern and Western youth culture. 88rising has quickly become one of the most exciting music brands in the world across recorded music, content production, events and product.
We are currently seeking a Vice President of Commerce who will be the primary account lead on 88rising commercial accounts across streaming and sales globally.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the primary point of contact for 88rising releases across all commercial partner accounts, managing key relationships with platform teams and distributor
- Create and execute partner-based marketing strategies, creating dynamic and engaging release plans, driving shared goals and commercial success
- Lead and provide strategic analysis on consumption, listener behavior and account performance across release campaigns
- Collate best practices and opportunities across key commercial partner accounts
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 7 years of commerce experience at a record company or sales platform with proven experience in digital music retail
- Excellent knowledge of the streaming landscape across all leading digital retail platforms (Apple, Spotify, Amazon, Youtube, etc), and Asia-based streaming services a plus
- Experience strategizing and executing sales and marketing campaigns, as well as pitching proposals for prospective clients
- Existing relationships with digital retail platforms across marketing and editorial teams
- Exceptional relationship management skills, verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical mind, ability to work with data, analytics and reporting systems
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment while juggling multiple tasks and priorities.
- Passionate music fan with broad knowledge of music and well versed on 88rising artists
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Full-time employment based in Los Angeles
