Merchandisers Continue Dealmaking, Zazzle Meets Signatures

Music merchandisers Zazzle and Signatures Network have now joined forces on a customized clothing arrangement.

The deal, announced Wednesday, combines the customized merchandising platform of Zazzle with the deep artist collection of Signatures.  The tie-up means that consumers will have the ability to create customized merchandise by using Signatures-supplied artist designs, photos and images.  “Through their extensive distribution reach with key online partners, Zazzle enables artists to sell merchandise anytime, and anywhere they interact with their fans online,” said Dell Furano, chief executive of Signatures Network.

The deal initially includes artists Kiss, Slash, Velvet Revolver, Fergie, Black Eyed Peas, Maroon 5, ZZ Top, Rob Zombie, Tommy Lee, Pantera,  Alice Cooper, and The Who.  Others will be added as the partnership progresses, according to the companies, and all artists will have featured galleries on the Zazzle destination.  The arrangement closely follows the acquisition of Signatures by Live Nation, a $79 million buyout, and a significant alliance involving Zazzle and MySpace.
