The Orchard has now finalized a content deal involving MusicMasters, a specialty label of the Musical Heritage Society.
The deal, announced Wednesday, will spread digitized versions of rare jazz classics to hundreds of outlets, including the iTunes Store, AmazonMP3, eMusic, V Cast Music Store, and the Sprint Music Store.
The catalog includes gems from icons Louis Armstrong and Benny Goodman, dating back to the 30s. “Reviving the MusicMasters label has long been a hope of mine,” said Jeff Nissim, president of Musical Heritage Society. Additionally, the content will be included in The Orchard’s Brand Entertainment division, a group that develops digital solutions for brands and advertisers.
