Bach Technology will soon enhance a number of music services in China, according to details tipped over the weekend.
The fresh partners are Aceway, a music platform provider for China Unicom; Wawawa, an R2G-powered store that is integrated into Windows Media Player; ringtone search portal Beeku; and music broadcaster Cloud China.
In all of these partnerships, Bach is lending its ‘MusicDNA’ technology to enable enhancements like instant playlisting, improved search, recommendations, and tighter targeting with advertisers. Separately, China Mobile is also tapping Bach to manage its app store approval process, and to act as the official reseller of its ringback tones.
Bach is aligned with the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology, a spin-off of MP3 codec developer Fraunhofer IIS (Institute for Integrated Circuits). Other music-related partners are Simfy.de, Catch Media, 1Boss, and the People’s Music Store.
