Who’s Rattling? Try UMG+Getty, Omnifone+GEMA, HFA+Cooking Vinyl, PPL, Psonar, IODA

Picture this: Getty Images has just inked a deal with Universal Music Group.  The tie-up will offer Getty photographers closer access to UMG artists, plus enable Universal artists to broaden their photo shoots.

German licensing society GEMA has granted Omnifone rights for a global subscription music service, for use within Sony’s just-launched Unlimited service.

The Harry Fox Agency (HFA) will now handle mechanical licensing and administration chores for Cooking Vinyl.

UK-based, recording-focused performance licensing group PPL collected 32 million pounds worth of international revenue last year – a record for the group.
