New Study Finds 1 in 5 Use Mobile Phone for Music

The latest study released by eMarketer estimates that one in five Americans will listen to music on their mobile phones by the end of this year. Although hardly an astounding statistic given the wide dependance and acceptance of smartphones, eMarketer also concludes that “double-digit growth is expected to continue through 2015, when well over a third of all mobile phone users will participate.”

Pandora, Spotitfy, other digital radio platforms, as well as direct mobile downloads have been included in the study.
