Superstar house DJ Oliver Heldens has inked a new deal with RCA Records.

Oliver Heldens is now jumping in the major label arena, with RCA (Sony Music Entertainment) inking a new deal with the DJ.

Heldens has released cuts across a number house sub-genres, including progressive, tech, deep, and big room house, to name a few.  His latest track is called “Fire In My Soul,” and Heldens says it’s one of his favorite releases to date. The song, which features singer-songwriter Shungduzo, is co-produced by Grammy winner Oak Felder.

“We all come from very diverse parts of the world: The Netherlands, Turkey, Zimbabwe, the US,” Heldens stated.  “When we got into the studio, I told them I was very inspired by African music recently, so we started showing each other all this different African music we liked. That really got us in this vibe to create ‘Fire In My Soul.'”

Heldens began his professional music career with Spinnin’ Records in 2013.

The Dutch DJ from Rotterdam initially rose to stardom under his alias HI-LO.  Heldens initially started producing bass house tracks using the nickname, which is Oli H backward.  That led to considerable traction, with attention quickly spreading outside the Netherlands into Western Europe and beyond.

Then came another big break.  In 2015, BBC Radio 1 announced Heldens would have his own show starting in 2016.  Since then, Heldens has played a 1-hour Radio 1 slot on the third Thursday of every month.

HI-LO tracks like “Crank It Up,” “Wappy Flirt,” “Ooh La La,” and “Scrub the Ground” are just a few of the songs released under his personal label Heldeep Records.  The new deal with RCA Records marks a new chapter, with “Fire In My Soul” kicking off the new catalog phase.

“Fire In My Soul” is available for streaming on iTunes and Spotify. You can listen to it below.
