Story Behind the Irish Music
Written forms of traditional Irish music can date back as far as the 1700s. But, the music itself has been played since a lot further back. Although, since then, the music has spread, you would be hard-pressed to find an Irish bar in the world that doesn’t play it.
Ranging from raucous to haunting, Irish music has a plethora of songs with an array of history behind the words. The most popular style, however, is the Jig style songs.
Irish jig songs are the songs you find in the “ol’ taprooms.” The kind of songs that get the people on their feet, dancing around the pub, singing as loud as they can. As they say in Ireland, “If you can’t sing well, sing loud.”

The Ah, Surely’s are an American Irish band once known as the Buddy O’Reilly Band. Based out of Atlanta, Georgia, this band brings Irish traditional music to the modern age. Blending such music with Irish dance gives a whole range of entertainment.
