Born in New York and raised in Texas, rapper Frost G has loved music for as long as he can remember. The creative started developing a love for hip hop in middle school and began writing music by writing love poems to females.

Ascend Agency is working with Digital Music News to create opportunities for artists to be visible to the music industry.

The artist developed his pen even further, finding that he could express even his own life through his music. “I started putting my poems to beats, then putting life stories to beats & the reaction just fueled me to keep going,” said Frost G.

Frost G’s sound has been influenced by many of the greats that came before him, such as Nas, Ma$e, BIG, and DMX. The MC brings a gritty sound to the table and is focused on being true to himself, allowing for his raw sound to get heard across the world. The artist has amassed a following in the thousands with his relatable lyrics and catchy hook writing. The artist has been streamed over 100,000 times across his music catalog, achieving an impressive milestone as an independent artist. However, it’s not success that fuels Frost G’s mission.

What has fueled Frost G’s engine most of all is his desire to reach others through his talent.

As he started to reach people heart to heart, he was only fueled by whoever he touched with his music. “It became an inspiration for me to be able to have people relate to my testimonies & help people get over whatever situation they going through,” explained Frost G. “Love became a passion and I just kept chasing and investing in myself till I made something off the talent God gave me,” he added.

Frost G’s biggest turn point in his career was when he started to take his music more seriously after being locked up until 2013. After getting out, he decided it was time to go pedal to the metal with his music. The artist has been very active the last two years, putting out song after song. His latest release, ‘Play Inda Cross,’ marks his 9th release in 2022 alone. The single showcases the artist’s ability to deliver a gritty flow while still being able to write a catchy hook. Frost G hands the mic off to Wacotron for some backup in the later half of the song. The duo’s vocals meld well together, contrasting each other in a tasteful way.

Frost G plans to continue to drop more music, focusing on honing in on more “hits.” The artist says he has a large pile of songs saved up in the vault, showing no signs of slowing down going into the new year. The MC has accomplished more than most ever will but still remains hungry to get bigger and better at his craft.
