Downtown Music Taps Pieter van Rijn as CEO Following Global Integration

Independent service provider Downtown Music names Pieter van Rijn as CEO following the completion of the company’s global integration.

Downtown Music Holdings (DMH) has announced the completion of its integration strategy as a single globally operating company. That integration, which included the absorption of CD Baby’s operations into Downtown Music, further expands the company’s spectrum of services to the global music industry.

As part of the changes, DMH has also named Pieter van Rijn as CEO of Downtown Music, reporting to DMH CEO Andrew Bergman. Pieter van Rijn previously served as Group President of Downtown Music and CEO of FUGA, which DMH acquired in 2020. In 2023, he was appointed to the Downtown Music Holdings board of directors.
