Just days after Drake’s mansion appeared on the cover of a Kendrick Lamar beef track, a security guard was reportedly shot and serious injured there.

The mansion in the Bridle Path neighborhood outside of Toronto was taped off by Canadian police in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The shooting happened some time in the early morning around 2 am, according to statements supplied by Inspector Paul Krawczyk, though he stressed that information is very limited at the time. It’s unclear whether Drake was home at the time the shooting occurred.

A police source told CBC News that initial reports suggested the shooting was a drive-by, with the security guard shot in the upper chest. The guard was unconscious when officers arrived on the scene. The security guard received medical attention at the hospital, undergoing surgery. Krawczyk did not confirm if the shooting was a drive-by, but did confirm a vehicle’s involvement.

Investigators have recovered security footage that captured the incident and are reviewing it for clues. Other surveillance videos from the surrounding neighborhood will be obtained to gain a full picture of who the shooter was and their motivations. But Krawczyk says its too early in the investigation to speculate on a motive.

The rap beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar heated up to an insane degree over the weekend as Kendrick Lamar responded with several diss tracks. The cover of his “Not Like Us” diss track features a satellite view of Drake’s mansion with a number of red locator markers. Eagle-eyed fans noticed they are the same markers used to identify sex offenders in the Ontario Sex Offender Registry.

Drake responded to the inclusion of his mansion in Kendrick Lamar’s diss track by referencing the move in his caption for “The Heart Part 6.” “Instead of posting my address, you have a lot to address,” the caption reads.
