Jamaican-American singer Sean Kingston is facing ten charges in Florida, including grand theft and fraud, following his detainment in California.

Move over, Diddy — there’s another artist facing a heap of legal trouble as Sean Kingston has been hit with ten charges in Broward County, Florida, according to an arrest warrant dated May 20. The charges include defrauding a jeweler and a car dealer for nearly half a million dollars, and follow his recent detainment in California for similar charges.

Kingston, whose legal name is Kisean Paul Anderson, was arrested on May 23 following a SWAT team raid on his South Florida mansion in which his mother, Janice Turner, was also arrested. Both are named in the arrest warrant for defrauding several businesses and grand theft from a luxury car dealership.

The ten charges against Kingston also include several counts of identity fraud and issuing faulty checks, as well as a probation violation. He is currently being held in a San Bernardino county jail without bail, though Kingston is due in court this week for an extradition hearing and is expected to be sent back to Florida. Turner is facing eight charges, although she is said to have posted bail.

Authorities claim Kingston and his mother ripped off a jeweler, an exotic car dealer, and several other businesses for “well into the six-figures,” with the jewelry alone worth around $480,000. Sean Kingston was also on probation for trafficking stolen property.

“We were in the process of having him return to Florida after his show,” said Robert Rosenblatt, and attorney for Sean Kingston, in a statement to NBC News. “We want him back ASAP so we can show this is merely a civil case and not criminal. We look forward to challenging this case in court.”

Though Sean Kingston has not released music under a major label in over ten years, he is best known for his 2007 hit “Beautiful Girls,” and his collaboration with Justin Bieber on the song “Eenie Meenie.”
