Diddy gets dumped by powerful NYC entertainment and media law firm Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sacks as he faces mounting sexual assault allegations.

Manhattan’s premier entertainment and media law firm, Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sacks, which represents the majority of big-name artists in the music industry, has dumped disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs as a client in light of numerous sexual assault allegations against him. The news comes after reports over the weekend that Lady Gaga told the firm to either drop Combs, or she would walk away.

“The report that the decision was the result of client pressure just isn’t true,” a spokesperson for the firm told The NY Post, asserting that the decision to part ways with Combs was in the works for “a number of months,” due to mounting sexual assault allegations against him. Further, a source close to Lady Gaga told Page Six that her conversation with the firm “never happened.”

Combs was the firm’s client for over 20 years. He was a personal friend of attorney Allen Grubman, and was even known to stop by his home in the Hamptons before the rapper became persona non grata in the music industry. Grubman, a founder of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, was the first practicing lawyer to be inducted in November 2022.

Regardless of the firm’s assertion that it was already planning to part ways with Diddy, if there’s any truth to the reports that Lady Gaga threatened to walk away, the firm would have undoubtedly been quick to take action. An exit by the “Poker Face” singer could spell disaster for the law firm, setting off a domino effect of other prominent artists running for the door.

Combs, who is still under federal investigation for allegations of sex trafficking and other crimes, notably scrubbed his Instagram account last week. That follows NYC Mayor Adams revoking Combs’ key to the city, and the City of Miami Beach withdrawing its previously announced “Sean Diddy Combs Day.” Both come just weeks after a surveillance video leaked of the disgraced rapper beating his ex-girlfriend.
