Taylor Swift confirms a widely adopted fan theory—she’s releasing a six-part Eras Tour docuseries on Disney+ this December.

During her appearance on “Good Morning America” on October 13, Taylor Swift shared the news of her latest collaboration with Disney+. The long-awaited behind-the-scenes footage from her Eras Tour will debut with the first two episodes on December 12 on Disney+ and Hulu. After that, two episodes will air each week.

“Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era” will be released alongside “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show” film, recorded during the last show of the tour. The film features the entire The Tortured Poets Department set, which was added to the tour following that album’s release in 2024.

The docuseries will feature performers, family members, and friends, including Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Florence Welch, and Ed Sheeran.

“It was the end of an era and we knew it,” Swift shared in a social media post. “We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety.”

Taylor’s appearance on “Good Morning America,” which also falls under the Disney umbrella, saw the release of a trailer teasing the docuseries. This will be the third time the mega-star has released a project with Disney, following “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions” in 2020, and 2023’s “Eras Tour” concert film.

“The End of an Era” is directed by Don Argott, co-directed by Sheena M. Joyce, and produced by Object & Animal. “The Final Show” is directed by Glenn Weiss and produced by Taylor Swift Productions in association with Silent House Productions.
